First stage adjudication Europan 11 completed
From 4 to 7 October 2011 the Europan 11 jury travelled by coach through the Netherlands for the first stage of the adjudication. This time the adjudication took place on the competition sites themselves. The jury visited all the Europan 11 sites and attended a presentation on each site. The members of the jury then set straight to work with studying and judging the plans.
At each site the jury selected approximately 20 per cent of the entries.
Out of a total of 275 entries 53 were selected:
- for Almere 9 plans were selected;
- for Amsterdam 8;
- for Capelle aan den IJssel 6;
- for Deventer 12;
- for Eindhoven 7;
- and for Leeuwarden 11.
The selected plans will be discussed during the international Europan 11 Cities & Juries Forum in Oslo. During this forum all the juries and site representatives from the Europan countries come together in working groups and debates to discuss the selected plans. After the forum in Oslo each jury, separately, will select the winners.
The results for the Dutch Europan 11 sites will be announced on 14 December 2011 during a festive award ceremony in the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).
