As after every competition round also for Europan 10 a publication is made. The book will be - both in form and in contents - extra festive this time, because of 10 x Europan. The book contains two parts. In the first part the results of Europan 10 will be described: the prize winning entries, the entries with a special mention, the other selected plans, the sites, the theme and the adjudication. Carlos Arroyo, member of the Scientific Committee of Europan Europe, clarifies the theme. Jury member Cees van der Veeken in his column gives an inside view of the adjudication. And Piet Vollaard of ArchiNed made an analysis of the entries in international perspective for the book. |

The second part is about Europan 1 to 9. The winners living in the Netherlands tell about what winning meant for them. Kaye Geipel of the German magazine Bauwelt lost himself for the publication in the cultural, social and professional meaning of Europan and board member and Europan 4 winner Madeleine Maaskant made an analysis of the Europan assignments. Catja Edens interviewed the late chairman of the board Bert van Meggelen and client At Smit Duyzentkunst of housing corporation Nijestee about Europan. They both have a long history in Europan and it is interesting to read about their views on Europan. Finally Maurits Klaren looks into the future of Europan. The Europan 10 publication came out on Friday 22 January 2010. All visitors of the party for 10 x Europan received a free copy of the publication! The book costs € 32,50 and is available on, amongst others at NAi Booksellers. |
